We're Going on a Bear Hunt

The nursery children have been listening to 'We're Going on a Bear Hunt' by Michael Rosen. They have been learning to retell the story and perform the repeated phrases. We have turned our book corner into a 'dark cave' where the children have been having fun looking at stories with the torches. The children used the large construction to work together to make bridges to allow them to cross the deep cold river! They have been continuing to practise their counting skills and make groups of one, two and three.

The children have been making large maps for the Bear Hunt journey. They had lots of fun going on their own Bear Hunt in the garden. They experienced retelling the story whilst physically going through the different elements in the story.
