School Uniform

School uniform plays a valuable role in contributing to the ethos of our school.  The wearing of uniform instils unity and pride; supports positive behaviour; ensures that pupils of all races and backgrounds feel welcome and supports effective teaching and learning.

The governors have set a formal bottle green and grey school uniform; we ask parents to provide their children with the full and correct uniform. To ensure this is achievable ALL items of our school uniform can be purchased without a brand if parents choose.

We have a selection of 2nd hand branded jumpers which are on sale to parents.  Should you wish to enquire about sizes please contact the school office to see what we have available.

Our branded uniform with the school crest can be bought from Monkhouse, Midland Schoolwear & Mansuri.

School clothing is:

  • Bottle green sweatshirt, jumper or cardigan
  • White polo shirt / shirt
  • Grey skirt, grey trousers
  • Grey short trousers
  • Green and white gingham dress for summer
  • Plain white / black / grey / bottle green socks / tights
  • Black shoes with no logos or markings - not trainers, strappy sandals or canvas pumps

Appropriate clothing for P.E. is as follows:

  • White t-shirt / Aspirations t-shirt
  • Black / grey / bottle green jogging bottoms for outdoor sessions in cold weather
  • Pumps with elastic or Velcro (laced pumps are acceptable only if children can tie their own laces)

We respect the need to accommodate religious clothing and ask that it be purchased in school colours.

Long hair (boys & girls) must be tied up for P.E.

Jewellery is only allowed in the form of stud earrings, no necklaces or bracelets.

Smart watches (watches with camera, internet or game functions) should not be worn.

Any parent/carer experiencing difficulty in meeting the required standard of uniform are invited to contact the Head Teacher in confidence for support.

Throughout the year we have a number of dress-up days such as World Book day, charity days and celebrations.  Clothes and footwear worn should be practical for the school day.  There is never any obligation on parents to purchase a special outfit or costume.  We always invite children to come in 'home clothes' as an alternative option.  All outfits worn on dress up day should be inline with the school ethos and ensure that pupils of all races and backgrounds feel welcome.

Please label all uniform with your child's name
If an item is lost with a name label it can be quickly returned however, an unnamed item will be placed in the lost property box (situated near the office) for you to look through.
