The Train Ride

The Train Ride

This week we have been reading the story The Train Ride, which is about a little girl who goes on a journey with her mum to see her grandma.  On the journey she looks out of the window and sees many different things.  We have been writing and drawing about the things the little girl saw on the train and we are looking forward to a train journey of our own.  

Nursery Train Ride

As part of Nursery's topic 'On the Move' we have been reading stories with different types of transport in them.  Our trip was based around the book 'The Train Ride' by June Crebbin.  A little girl goes on a train to visit her grandma and during her ride, she looks out of the window and sees many different things.  We wanted to give the children the opportunity to go on a train and bus journey for themselves and experience all the sights and sounds. 

 

The children had a fantastic time and took away many memories with them.  This could not have been possible without the help of the parents, so a BIG THANK YOU goes out to the parents for their continued support.
