Happy Birthday Maisy

Our week has been based around the book ‘Happy Birthday Maisy’ by Lucy Cousins. During the week the children took part in planning a party for Pooh Bear’s Birthday. The children wrote invitations and cards and made crowns to wear at the party. We decorated our own wrapping paper and baked a cake following a simple recipe for the party. The children made their own cakes with the play dough and used their counting skills to decorate them with candles. The stickle bricks were used to make birthday cakes and presents to give to Pooh Bear. The week ended with the party where the children dressed up in party clothes and took part in games. A great week was had by all! A big thank you goes out to the parents for donating such lovely food, we all went home with full tummies!
