The children reviewed their previous learning from last half term's history and DT. They recalled the journey of how bread was made in the past and discussed some of the changes that have happened to Hall Green over time. They sorted unhealthy and healthy foods and recapped hygienic practices before making their own pizzas.
1CG had a wonderful visit to Sarehole Mill this week as they learnt about life in the mill and Hall Green over 100 years ago. They explored the tools that would have been used to harvest wheat and turn the grain into flour. The children worked very hard to ground their own flour using millstones - it was very tiring work! We were very impressed with the children's behaviour and how well they walked there and back with smiles on their face.
