Art's Week

The Covid 19 Pandemic and Lockdown is the inspiration for this year’s Art’s Week. We based it on the theme of ‘Rainbows’.

PSHRE and Unicef Rights of a child is an integral part of our Art’s week, focusing on how lucky we are to be at school and have our family and friends around us during this unsettling time.

The book ‘The World Made a Rainbow’ written by Michelle Robinson was the starting point for the week and we listened to the story and discussed it. The children talked about their favourite colours and some even recited the rainbow colour sequence in the correct order! We had a fun and messy creative week, having a great time colour mixing, making rainbows from paper plates, painting rainbows, conker rolling with rainbow colours and chalking a large rainbow.
