Year 2

Children enjoyed tasting and evaluating different Japanise foods. They used their senses to describe the texture, taste, appearance, and smell and identified whether the food items were healthy or unhealthy.

Children investigating a range of joining resources

Children loved testing a range of joining resources (such as paper clips, glue, sellotape) against different materials (for example, felt, cardboard, paper, cellophane). They needed to determine which are the best joining resources for making a model fire engine with moving parts at our parent workshop.
