To raise awareness for World Refugee Day, the children completed their sponsored daily mile every day. We had so much fun!!
We have raised an AMAZING £2817.13!!! This money will be sent to the charity called ‘Children on the Edge’.
Children on the Edge exists to help marginalised children, who are living on the edge of their societies. These are children without parental care, neglected or persecuted by their governments, ignored by international media and missed by large overseas agencies. Children on the Edge work in partnership with local communities, they help to create safe, child friendly environments. They support children to realise their rights, and restore ingredients of a full childhood by generating hope, life, colour and fun. If you would like to find out more, you can visit www.childrenontheedge.org for more information on what Children on the Edge do for refugee children.
A HUGE well done to:
Maliha (Nursery)
Abdur-Rahim (RNW)
Anayah (1HM)
Rehan (2EG)
who all won a prize for raising the most money in their year groups.
Mrs Tilbury also won a prize for raising the most money out of the teachers.
Thank you to all the children for helping us raise this amazing amount of money!!
