Water Safety

Living in an inner city means our children don't always have good knowledge about water safety. This means that when children go on holidays or visits and are around water, they may under-estimate the dangers of water which could have tragic consequences.

In order to keep our children at Hall Green safe our curriculum incorporates water safety.

The key to staying safe is making the right choices to avoid getting into difficulty in the first place.

Below are some helpful information and links to support you in revisiting how to stay safe around water with your child.

Please remember that your child may be able to swim well in a warm indoor pool, but that does not mean you will be able to swim in cold water.

We teach children about water safety during different points of the year and before any school trips and visits.

Below is also a link to a PowerPoint that you could go through with your child to help them understand the importance of water safety
