Spring Term
Wear Yellow Day and Easter Bonnet Day! Thank you so much to all of you for the effort you put in to make such amazing Easter Bonnets! Have a very happy Easter Break!
2ND had our visit to Hall Green Library. We really enjoyed listening to each other read, exploring lots of different books and finding out all about how a Library works.
Thank you to Lucy's Mum for being this weeks fabulous mystery reader! Remember to let Miss Doust know if you'd like to come and read to the class on a Friday before the children get ready for home.
World Book Day!
Today we had a visit from a Paramedic and his ambulance. We heard all about how he became a paramedic and followed his dreams, and how important it is to study hard in school for our future. We also all got a turn in the ambulance, listening to him talk and turning on the blue lights and siren.
Cadbury World Trip: 2ND had the best time visiting Cadbury World as part of our History learning about the Cadbury family and Bournville. A big thank you to Aadam and Amaar's Dads for coming along to help!
A big thank you to Keaton's Mummy for being our mystery reader of the week and coming in to read to our class!
Aspirations Day: The children loved wearing their aspiration t-shirts. They enjoyed learning about different types of jobs and were interested in finding out what their friends want to be when they grow up. 2ND were very grateful to have Dr Asia come and see us who talked about her responsibilities and contribution to the community as a GP. The children were excited about using the stethoscope and the finger blood pressure monitor.
Parent and Carer Reading Workshop
Sparkle and Shine Week: We have enjoyed lots of wonderful activities and discussions this week around thankfulness, well being, thriving and loving ourselves! We know we're amazing just the way we are!
In Art this week we had a go at practicing making our Dragon Eyes out of plasticine from our designs - these are called maquettes.
