Pupil Results

We are delighted with our results this year! The children and teachers  worked extremely hard and despite their teaching and learning being significantly disrupted for their earlier school years, due to the Covid pandemic, the children have made good progress across all areas.  Our children's fantastic results have put  our schools academic achievements in the highest 20% of schools nationally for reading, writing, phonics and maths.

We would like to thank parents and carers for their continued support of the school and their child's learning and wellbeing.

WELL DONE ALL!

Outcomes in Phonics

All Y1 children nationally undergo a Phonics Test in the second half of the Summer Term.  It tests their ability to read ‘real’ and ‘alien’ / made-up words using their phonic knowledge.  Outcomes for 2024 are as follows:

NB: Those children who do not pass the Year 1 Phonics Test complete a second test in Year 2.

We strive to further improve these results as the DFE and Ofsted emphasise that children should use their phonic knowledge as the primary strategy to read unfamiliar words.

Early Years Foundation Stage Results

We are very proud of our achievements for the end of year Foundation Stage Profile results.   In Foundation Stage we are above National average results for children achieving a Good Level of Development and our children have achieved particularly well physical development. We moderate assessments internally with several other schools to ensure consistency of assessments. We are proud of our pupils achievements in Early Years and prepare them well for readiness into Year One.
