As a welcome update for our new reception families and a refresher for all of us, here is a summary of what your HSA (Home School Association) does:
As a parent or carer for a child at either Hall Green Infant or Junior School, you are a member of the Home School Association.
We are a Registered Charity. The object of the Association, according to our constitution, is to advance the education of pupils in the schools in particular by:
· developing effective relationships between the staff, parents and others associated with the Schools and
· engaging in activities or providing facilities or equipment which support the Schools and advance the education of the pupils.
In practice this means we organise different events throughout the year which both raise money and give people in the school community the opportunity to get together and have a good time.
We raise approximately £4-5000 per year for each school, ALL of which benefits YOUR children.
Some of our regular events are shown below but we are always open to suggestions for new ideas. Please contact us if you would like to help in any way.
We are always looking for support from parents. If you feel you can help at any event, leave your details with the school office who will pass them onto the HSA. There is no set amount of hours or days you have to volunteer, just what you can and when, as any support is greatly appreciated. If you have a particular skill that you think may benefit your child(s) school, then let us know.
We look forward to seeing you at our events!
