Goldilocks and the Three Bears

The children's learning this week has been planned around the story Goldilocks and the Three Bears by Mara Alperin. The children have used their creative skills to make their own paper plate bear and they have been involved in a 'Big Build' task in the garden, making chairs for the bears to sit on. They have been learning size vocabulary at the maths table to describe the bears, bowls, chairs and beds. The children have enjoyed mixing/stirring/whisking the porridge oats to feed the bears. A highlight of the week was making toast with a chosen topping, the children practised spreading it with a knife. The best bit was eating it up!
