Internet Saftey

At Hall Green Infant School we take online safety very seriously.  Our children have completed lessons around how to stay safe and who they talk to if they don’t feel safe.

In our ever-changing technological world, it is not only essential that we provide our children with the skills and knowledge to ensure they keep themselves safe on the internet, but also to be responsible users of new and emerging technologies.

The internet can be a wonderful resource that really enhances both teaching and learning and we want to encourage and empower our children to embrace new technologies in a safe, responsible and purposeful way. At Hall Green Infant and Nursery School, we place great importance on children learning e-safety right from Nursery.

Every class has a clear set of e-safety rules that is consistent across the school which is discussed regularly with the children. We also provide the children with a clear set of rules for e-safety at home that ‘mirror’ our school rules. These combined sets of rules help to support the children to make appropriate choices when using new technologies wherever they are.

It is essential we remind them about how we stay safe.  Click here to access a PowerPoint to help you and your child or children refresh their learning about online safety.
