As part of our RE curriculum, we went to visit our local church which is St. Peters Church in Hall Green. We met with the vicar of the church who told us all about his job and what Christian's do in a church. We learned about the charity work they do in the community and the way in which they work with people of other faiths too. We went on a tour of the church and learned all about the different features of it. Following this, we enjoyed a delicious drink and chocolate biscuit! After this, we were set to work. We had to go on a hunt around the church to match the name cards to all of the different features. Everyone was able to successfully find features including the font, piano, choir seats, stained glass windows and even the cleaning cupboard! Finally, we were given the opportunity to ask the vicar questions. The Sparrows came up with some really interesting and insightful questions. All of the children were brilliant role models for our school and were incredibly respectful of the place of worship. Well done Sparrows!
