In our PSHRE lesson, the children were introduced to their UNICEF Rights. We discussed our right to belong to our class, our right to ask questions and our right to learn, as well as our responsibility to help and support each other’s learning.
As a class, we explored a range of rights and chose the six that we felt were most important to us. We then created and signed our Class Charter, showing our commitment to respecting these rights and responsibilities throughout the year.
Year One had a wonderful time celebrating Care for Your Bear Day! The children brought their favourite bears into school and enjoyed a day filled with fun learning activities. We used our bears to inspire our writing, maths and creative learning, while thinking carefully about how we can care for something that is special to us. It was a lovely day of learning, creativity and lots of teddy bear fun!
Year One had a fantastic day visiting the Birmingham Botanical Gardens! We explored the beautiful gardens and discovered a wonderful variety of plants, flowers and trees. The children enjoyed observing the world around them, asking questions and making links to their learning in school. It was a fun and memorable day full of exploration and discovery!
