Class Charter
Today the children created their class charter. To do this, they learnt about the ABCDE of rights and we discussed that all children have rights. The children then explored a range of rights and decided which ones were the most important to them as a class to help form a class charter.
Care for your Bear Day
The children brought into school their favourite teddy to look after for the day. This was linked to our value ‘caring’. They also brought in a donation of £1 to go to a charity called ‘Teddy Trust’. The Teddy Trust collects teddiws and soft cuddly toys from children around trhe UK and sends them to children who are less fortunate, such as children suffering the traumas of war or neglect. We had great fun spending the day with our teddies. They joined us for Phonics, Maths and even lunchtime!
Birmingham City Mission Assembly
Laura from Birmingham City Mission presented a story from the Bible. We learnt that sharing is a good way to show you care.
Harvest Festival Assembly
Well done to Kingfishers and Robins class today for presenting an awesome Harvest Festival assembly! All the children have worked so hard in learning their lines and when to say them. They sang a song called Cauliflowers Fluffy. The children then explained the importance of Harvest Festival and the meaning.
