Our theme for Arts Week was RAINBOWS. The Covid 19 Pandemic and Lockdown were the inspirations for this year’s Art’s Week.
PSHRE and Unicef Rights of a child was at the heart of our Art’s week. We focused on how lucky we are to be healthy and have our family and friends around us.
We started by listening to the story ‘The World Made a Rainbow’ written by Michelle Robinson. Click on the picture below to listen to the story. The children talked about their own feelings and experiences and discussed how particular colours make them feel and how a particular colour reminds them of something meaningful to them.
Acrylic Paint Pouring Canvas
We used different colour acrylic paints and painting techniques to create colourful canvases.
Paper Plate Rainbows

Colour Mixing Rainbows
We created our rainbows by mixing the primary colours...red, yellow and blue.
