This week we have been learning about measure in math’s. Children have been using rulers to measure things in the classroom and then looking at the difference between cm and m. Today your child will be coming home with a ruler to help practice measuring and reading measurements. Please spend some time asking them to show you how they measure things around the home. Reminding them to start at 0 and looking at the nearest cm. You could also talk about what things in your home would be measured in metres and centimetres. Perhaps estimate before you measure and turn it into a game to see who was closest.
Please return the rulers by next Friday 24th.
