Wellbeing

I am delighted to tell you that we have achieved The Wellbeing Award for Schools. I am very proud of this achievement and the hard work that everybody has put in, including parents, children, staff and our wider community. As you know this is something that we have all been working very hard to achieve in school.

It has been a real team effort and we would like to thank you all for your support. Well done everyone!!

We've achieved this lovely certificate:

Our projects

We are so pleased to announce our new Wellbeing area in the playground has now been completed.

We have been working together to design a well-being garden for the children at our school.  We have worked hard to research the different play areas and then chosen the best equipment that we think will make our friends happy and relaxed.

We have decided as a group that we need a well-being garden in our school to make more friends, relax, have fun as well as feeling safe. We want it to be a calm environment where everyone will smile.

As a Right Respecting School, the garden will support our rights to have a safe environment, a place to relax and play and meet with other children.

The children love the sensory garden, and the Eco Warriors have been working with the Wellbeing team to raise funds to add wildflowers to this area.

We had a lovely time trying out resources to add in our Wellbeing Garden.

Children using the Wellbeing Garden, it was lovely to see children relaxing and talking about their emotions during play!

We have been working together to design a sensory room for the children at our school.  We have worked hard to research the different areas and ways to self-regulate and then chosen the best equipment that we think will make our friends happy and relaxed.

The Wellbeing team have also been raising funds to help develop the sensory room.  They took the time to look at the different equipment and the cost of it to work out how much they needed to raise.  They then had the opportunity to order the equipment and to see it all installed. It looks lovely and well done for your hard work.

We spent the week thinking about the importance of caring for one another and celebrated yellow day to help fundraise to support families of children who have been diagnosed with liver disease. This is the Wellbeing leaders decorating Imaan's tree.
