Sparkle and Shine Week 

 

During our Sparkle and Shine Week, we placed a strong focus on our wellbeing, exploring both our mental and physical health. Throughout the week, pupils took part in a range of calming and mindful activities designed to help them understand and manage their emotions. We shared a story about emotions and discussed different ways we can recognise and regulate how we feel. Children practised belly breathing, meditation, yoga, and mindfulness, learning techniques to help them relax, stay focused, and feel calm.

 

We also explored the importance of staying physically active and enjoyed trying out different forms of exercise to keep our bodies healthy and strong. During the week, the children took part in a calm creative session with classical music, where they made a range of thoughtful items. These were then sold on Friday , giving pupils the opportunity to value others, show kindness, and practise gratitude by sharing what they had created. It was a wonderful week that encouraged reflection, positivity, and care for both ourselves and others.
