Healthy Mind! Healthy Body

Healthy Mind, Healthy Body at Hall Green Infant School

At Hall Green Infant School, we believe that children learn best when they feel happy, safe, and supported. Our Healthy Mind, Healthy Body approach helps us nurture the whole child—encouraging emotional wellbeing, positive mental health, and active lifestyles from the very start of their school journey.

Throughout the year, we offer a wide range of events and experiences that help children understand the importance of looking after both their bodies and their minds. These include activities such as Wellbeing Week, Mindfulness , Sports Day, health week, and movement‑based sessions that get children active and energised. We also welcome a variety of visitors—from fitness coaches and dance specialists to storytellers and wellbeing practitioners—who help bring learning to life.

Our curriculum and daily routines support children to recognise feelings, build resilience, develop confidence, and make healthy choices. From outdoor learning and brain breaks to calming spaces and reflective activities, we ensure every child feels valued and ready to learn.

By promoting healthy habits early on, we aim to equip our children with the foundations they need to thrive both in school and beyond. At Hall Green Infant School, looking after our minds and bodies is at the heart of everything we do.
