Phonics Parent Workshop

A big thank you to all the adults who joined us for our phonics workshop. It was wonderful to see parents and carers getting involved and taking part in all the activities. I thoroughly enjoyed watching Squirrels work alongside their adults to create posters, complete word searches, write fantastic sentences, and have lots of fun together. It was a truly meaningful workshop, and we hope that our adults left with plenty of ideas to support phonics and reading at home.

Children in Need Day

On 14th November, we had a wonderful time celebrating Children in Need Day! The children came to school dressed in bright, spotty outfits and eagerly joined in a variety of fun and exciting activities. The day was full of laughter, smiles, and happy moments as everyone joined together to support this special cause.

Toy Day

The children thoroughly enjoyed Toy Day today, held in support of Birmingham City Mission’s Christmas Toy Project, which provides parcels of toys to children in need across the country. It was wonderful to see the children sharing and playing together so happily in the classroom.

Christmas Week

Christmas Week was absolutely phenomenal! Squirrel Class did a fantastic job at the Christmas concert, singing their hearts out to Jingle Bells—and their dance moves were simply iconic. We enjoyed a delightful movie afternoon, with a variety of films to choose from. The Christmas party was full of fun, with games and laughter filling the room all afternoon.

The children also got creative, making beautiful 2026 calendars and snow globe-themed Christmas cards featuring cut-outs of themselves. Festive decorations were brought to life with sparkly glitter and gems, adding even more magic to the week. It was truly a memorable time of joy, laughter, and festive cheer!
