This week in English we have been reading about lions and the Savannah. Homework this week is to write your own Savannah story about an insect. You can roll a dice or choose your key parts of the story. Use the plan to jot down your ideas and then write your story. Your teacher can't wait to read it and we would like to share some in the class! If you need lined paper please ask

We are ending our multiplication and division unit for now so please try the year 2 arithmetic quiz below. It covers addition, subtraction, multiplication and division. There is also an arrays quiz if this is more appropriate for your child.

Next week we are moving on to look at 2D and 3D shape. Please spend some time exploring shape and looking at the properties of shapes. You can do this by going on a shape hunt, cutting up and hiding shapes. Finding shapes and counting their edges and verticies, making shapes or drawing them!
