Write Your Own Funny Stories by James Campbell

On Wednesday, we had a live Teams session with the author James Campbell. He writes very funny books such as 'The Funny Life of Pets' and 'The Funny Life of Teachers'. His books are a combination of facts and made up funny stories; the reader is responsible for working out which are which!

In our session with James, he told us some funny stories which involved lots of actions and funny voices. We all thought he was hilarious! He also gave us lots of tips to write our own funny stories.

We used James' book, 'The Funny Life of Pets' to invent our own weird and wacky creatures and write fact files about them. We invented all kinds of strange creatures such as an animal with a candy floss head, the body of a cheetah and feet made of pizza slices!

In the afternoon, we used 'The Funny Life of Teachers' to draw our own dream school maps. We then presented them in teams to the rest of the class. Miss Greathead loved the idea of a hot tub for teachers! Have a look below at some of the pictures from the day.
