Week 8

This week we have been practising reading and spelling of the CCC onset in words e.g. spr, spl. Children learn to blend the CCC onset and then blend all phonemes in the word to read. This week we have also been practising the reading and spelling of CCVCC and CCVCCC words that use previously taught digraphs.

 

Practise reading the words below again encouraging your child to use their 'robot arms' and 'sound buttons'. If they feel confident encourage your child to read the words fluently. 

You could also continue to practise spelling the words by using look cover write check.

You could also print off the flashcards below to practise reading and spelling.

You could also login to Monster Phonics e Books to read the book 'A giftbox of presents' using the link below.
