This week, the children continued to engage with activities that draws attention to the purpose of counting – to find out ‘how many’ objects there are. They also began to explore verbal counting to larger numbers. We started counting together to numbers larger than 20 and learned number names beyond the tricky ‘teen’ numbers. We sang counting rhymes to give us opportunities to hear, join in with and develop their knowledge of the counting sequence.
This week, We would like you to count things around your home and on your way to school, how many ways can you count? You can count on your fingers, you can clap, you can jump! REMEMBER to stop at the stopping number!
