Our School Council represents the views of all our pupils. It gives children the opportunity to make their voices heard and feel part of the whole school community.
At Hall Green Infant School the school council is made up of two representatives from each class in year one and year two, who were voted for by their classmates in our school council elections. In each class there is a Senior councillor and a Deputy Councillor.
We have now selected our new School Council Members. Keep posted to find out any new developments...
As a team, we have been talking to each other about play times and how we can make them better.
We have sometimes seen children who get bored or have no one to play with and we, as the School Council have thought of a way to help.
We have asked our classmates to help think of ways to raise money to buy a class box of toys. The box can be taken outside during play times and we can all enjoy the things inside because we will have chosen them. We think it will be good to have items that girls and boys can both share like colouring books and pens, skipping ropes, balls, tea sets and cars.
We want the children to really enjoy their playing but we will be talking to them about how to look after our own toys so we can all keep sharing the fun!
