Microhabitat Walk

Our topic in science this half term is 'Living things and their Habitats'. We have been learning all about familiar and unfamiliar habitats and why animals are suited to the habitat in which they live. We have learned about microhabitats and how these are smaller habitats within a larger habitat. As part of our learning about microhabitats we went on a microhabitat hunt around the school grounds! We took magnifiying glasses with us to observe microhabitats and the minibeasts which live in them. We had a very successful hunt and discovered lots of different animals living on our school grounds!
