Autumn Term
Butterflies have had a fabulous first few weeks in school. They have settled brilliantly into school and are having so much fun learning both in the classroom and in the outdoor learning environment. We are so proud of how well they listen and learn and how well behaved they are in school.
The children have been very busy making new friends and learning all the new rules and routines. It is lovely to see all the children coming into school with huge smiles on their faces.
The children have been painting pictures, creating colourful collages, counting, writing their names and building super models, just to name a few of the exciting things they have been busy doing. School is so much fun and the Butterflies are eager to see what the year has in store for them!
The children have enjoyed using their imagination and constructing during outdoor play.
Learning about our senses and bodies
This term, the school have been focusing on our values, ‘Caring & Honesty’. To celebrate this, Butterfly class had the exciting opportunity to bring their teddy bears to school. They had a lovely time looking after their teddy bears. We started by showing them around our classroom, we even had lunch and playtime together! By bringing the teddy bears into school, we learned the important skill of responsibility as we had to keep them safe all day. We really enjoyed our day and can’t wait for another exciting opportunity!
Family Tree Worksop- This week Reception took part in a family history workshop. Our parents joined us in school and we worked together to take create our very own family tree! On our tree we included people that we consider to be family and that are important to us. We had the chance to talk, learn and explore our families and find out loads of amazing facts about our family history too!

The children have been busy learning about different materials through the story of The Three Little Pigs
Christmas- Children have had a lovely week completing lots of festive activities and even had a chance to meet Father Christmas!
