A World of your Own by Laura Carlin

The first day of Word Play Week was all about the book 'A World of Your Own' by Laura Carlin. The books takes the reader on a journey to create their own imaginary world. There are ideas on how to draw your ideal home, the best alarm clock and how you'd like to travel around your world. We watched a workshop delivered by artist duo Lets Make Art, who helped us to come up with our own creative ideas for our own imaginary worlds. Take a look at the pictures below.

In the afternoon, Ian the Storyteller came to visit us and told us some wonderful stories. We all got to take part by using actions and repeating words. It was lovely to sit outside in the sunshine and listen to the stories. Some of us were even lucky enough to be selected to do the actions in front of everyone!
