Sharing Lesson

In this lesson you will practise sharing.

Create your own 'picnic' with your child and practice sharing food equally and in groups.

It would be helpful to be able to physically share the picnic using real food or models (or you could use the pictures below or draw your own food).

 

Things to remember...

  • Count how many objects you need to share
  • Count out how many groups you need to share between
  • Share the objects equally between the groups
  • Count how many are in each group


Challenge...

What would happen if the picnic was split between four children instead of two? Are there other numbers of children that it would be easy to split the picnic for?
