L.O - What do we hope for the future? Explore the children’s hopes for the future.
Talk to the children about what they hope for when they grow up. Start with the job they think they would like to have and move to discussion about what sort of person they would like to be. Ask the children to imagine they were a king/queen/ruler, what would they do? What sort of world would they try to create? Brainstorm children’s ideas. Task Red Yellow Children to draw a picture of what the world would look like if they were in charge.
Green Children to draw a picture of what the world would look like if they were in charge. Label the images they draw.
Purple Blue Children to draw a picture of what the world would look like if they were in charge. Write some sentences what is happening in the picture. For example – In my world everyone would be friends. There would be no wars. Everyone would have plenty of food to eat and not starve. Nobody would be sad because everyone helps each other.
