Starter- ‘get ready to learn’ on slides

Anchor Task- ‘ordering numbers’

 

Recap practical activity completed yesterday and meaning of parts and wholes.

 

Explain that today we will be looking at drawing images to create a part whole model.

Go through powerpoint and activities.

 

Share examples on the flipchart. Model writing numbers carefully in boxes (1 number 1 square)

 

HA to cut, to draw images for their part whole models. (up to 10)

 

MA to cut, stick and draw images for their part whole modelm (up to 6)

LA: Using counters and part whole model sheet to create parts of a whole
