Explain what the word comprehension means.  Ask children the comprehension questions on the Jolly Postman. Recap sequencing completed yesterday.

Recap what characters are in the story. Give your child a character on paper and encourage them to think of  write down lots of different adjectives for their character.  Children to then share their ideas with their parents.

Activity: children to use they adjectives they came up with to create sentences making a list of the type of mail that was delivered to each of the characters.

For example: The Jolly Postman delivered a letter from Goldilocks to the three brown furry bears.

He delivered a leaflet to the mean and wicked witch.

 

Purple and Blue:

To write the following in their books for all the characters.:

The Jolly Postman delivered a letter from Goldilocks to the Three Brown furry Bears. The letter was saying sorry for breaking the baby bears chair.

He delivered a leaflet to the mean and wicked witch.

Green: To write the name and adjectives for the characters.

Yellow: To write a list of characters in the story.
