My name is Miss Barguss and I have been a teacher for four years. I have had experience in teaching in Years 1 and 2 in schools in Birmingham. I am really looking forward to joining the Year 2 team and working with the children and staff at Hall Green Infants.
My favourite subjects to teach are English and RE. I enjoy learning all about children’s cultures and religions.
Outside of school, I have two dogs called Georgie and Bruce and I really enjoy taking them out for walks in the summer.
Autumn has been a fantastic term for 2SB filled with lots of exciting learning and different events. We started the half term off with celebrating our school aspiration ‘Achieve my best’. We discussed what we wanted to improve and how we could do this throughout the term.
This half term we have done lots with our parents. We invited them to a writing workshop where we re-told and wrote our own version of ‘Pattan’s Pumpkin’. This was an exciting and a great way to include our parents. We also invited our grandparents to have lunch with us.
Our learning adventure topic has been ‘India’. To celebrate all of our hard work, Year Two held our very own ‘Indian Bazaar’. We were able to dress up in traditional Indian clothes, eat delicious foods including our homemade Kulfi and spend our rupees on different items including bindis and bangles.
To celebrate the end of the term, we had a Christmas party, wore Christmas jumpers, wrote and decorated Christmas cards and painted our 2020 calendars.
